Medicine Bakery Wolverhampton
We first visited Medicine Bakery + Kitchen in Codsall and really liked the place. Good food and a good atmosphere, what’s not to like? Then, they opened a branch in Wolverhampton in one of the most fantastic buildings in the city. Medicine Bakery also have branches in Birmingham, too.
Medicine Bakery Wolverhampton Location
Medicine Bakery Wolverhampton, one of Wolverhampton’s best eateries and our favourite café in the city, is situated in one of Wolverhampton’s most unique and interesting buildings – the historic Chubb Lock Works building, which dates back to 1889. They serve a range of delicious artisan cakes and bread – what’s not to love? We like it so much that it also made its way to our list of things to do in Wolverhampton.
The environment at Medicine is one-of-a-kind in Wolverhampton. With a mix of rustic and modern design elements, you’ll feel right at home in this welcoming space. It’s the perfect spot to gather with friends, read a book, or just soak up the vibes. Every time we’ve visited, it’s been reasonably busy, so the atmosphere has been good.
One of the unique features of Medicine is its atmosphere, which combines the rustic charm of a traditional bakery with the modern design elements of a contemporary cafe. The bakery’s interior features exposed brick walls, high ceilings and glass roof, and an open kitchen, creating a relaxed environment for you to enjoy.
Medicine Bakery Menu, Food & Drink
Medicine Bakery is an artisan bakery, kitchen and café where you’ll find a range of fresh, hand-baked artisan bread, pastries, cakes, and other sweet treats that are to die for. Some of their signature baked goods include sourdough bread, cinnamon buns, croissants, and brownies. Alongside their bakery items, they have an extensive menu for you to enjoy.
Medicine offers a small range of plant-based foods across its savoury and sweet menus, and we recommend the vegan Reuben. The sourdough bread is simply outstanding! The vegan Orea doughnut is five-star, too. As for the rest of the menu, the eggs and sourdough with bacon are top-notch, as is the carrot and walnut cake for afterwards! Alongside vegan food, they also cater for vegetarian and gluten-free diets.
The coffee is good, and they have a range of hot and iced coffees, all at reasonable prices. If you’ve looked at the menu, you’ll notice they also have a small selection for kids, including apple juice or baby hot chocolate.
